(Climate Change and Net-Zero Emissions: SBTi Net-Zero Targets and Tools)。

“Avoid Detours, Align Directly with Global Standards.”
Taipei Green Energy Association Partners with CJCHT/SSBTi to Guide Members Towards Global Sustainability Standards
(Taipei) — The Taipei Green Energy Association today announced a strategic partnership with the Supply-chain Science Based Targets initiative (SSBTi), aimed at helping member companies, government agencies, and academic institutions seamlessly align with leading international sustainability standards. This collaboration will enable organizations to avoid detours and directly connect with the right global frameworks. First summit will be held on 10/3/2025 at Tamkang University Taipei. Topic: Climate Change and Net-Zero Emissions: SBTi Net-Zero Targets and Tools.
Ms. Gao Qi, Chairman of the Taipei Green Energy Association, stated:
“In the wave of ESG and net-zero transformation, global retailers such as Walmart and Target, as well as international platforms like the SBTi Council, have incorporated EPD (Environmental Product Declarations), LCA (Life Cycle Assessment), and CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) as core requirements in supply chain management. These standards are not only corporate responsibilities but also passports to entering the global market.”
Through this partnership with SSBTi, the Association will:
Provide systematic training: Equip enterprises with essential skills in LCA and carbon footprint management.
Establish global alignment platforms: Ensure members’ carbon inventories and sustainability reports are compatible with EPD, CDP, SBTi, and other international frameworks.
Accelerate sustainable transformation: Help Taiwanese enterprises meet procurement requirements from Walmart, Target, and other global retailers, enhancing their international competitiveness.
Chairman Gao emphasized that this collaboration is more than a technical exchange—it is a pathway for Taiwanese enterprises to “avoid detours and directly align with international guidance.”
